Roger Simpson is an extraordinary watercolourist artist of over thirty years. His paintings exude a free and lively manner with exceptional movement and energy. He paints almost every day as he says he loves the thrill of seeing the colours flow together. Roger predominately paints in Yorkshire where he creates his very popular cycling and horse racing pictures.
He exhibits nationwide and has won various awards for his work in these shows and exhibitions. His work has been shown in several London galleries including the Menier and Mall galleries.
Roger says his inspiration mainly comes from practice and experimentation but also from other watercolourists who are unique and show flair. ‘We all learn from each other but our creative self comes out in our paintings’.
