Jonathan Newey

Jonathan Newey is an award winning artist who lives and works in Reading.

His landscapes, painted mostly from his imagination, are an exploration of colour and texture and lead to an almost abstract or impressionistic quality where the contrast of light and dark is as important as the colour. His ideas are developed from rough sketches which are then worked up in to colour sketches on iPad and then on to finished oil or acrylic paintings.
