Jina Cao

Jina Cao was born into a family steeped in the traditions of East Asian painting and calligraphy. Trained from early childhood by her father and later guided by accomplished artists, she built a strong foundation in classical techniques. She later pursued formal studies in Western art, earning a Master’s degree in Design from the University of Leeds. Having lived across a wide range of cultural and climatic landscapes—from temperate to tropical regions—her work is deeply influenced by the diversity of both nature and human experience. Flowers, in particular, serve as a recurring source of inspiration, allowing her to explore themes of growth, fragility, and transformation. Her distinctive artistic language blends Eastern sensitivity with Western structure, filtered through a feminine lens that emphasizes emotional nuance and poetic tension. Her work has been acquired by private collectors in Hong Kong, Singapore, and the UK. Now based in Britain, she continues to expand her practice, drawing creative energy from the local landscape.
