Jayne Ford

Jayne was born and raised in North Wales, surrounded by hills and valleys whilst also close to the sea. This peaceful yet sometimes wild environment has coloured her work ever since.  She studied fine art and illustration at Wrexham College of Art. 

Jayne is drawn to the natural landscapes that surround us and enjoys painting in oils or soft pastels. Since moving to the area 15 years ago she has found new inspiration in the beautiful Oxfordshire countryside surrounding her.

“As both a studio and plein air artist it is the changing light that I strive to capture, the stillness of a moment in time, the sense and feel of the surroundings, we rarely stop to absorb these moments so I try to capture them permanently within my art.
